Small Group Training: The Future of the Workout Experience.

“Big enough to be fun, but small enough to still be quality.”

While personal training always used to mean one client, that’s not true anymore. Small group training has been gaining popularity because it’s an affordable, fun way for clients to take advantage of a trainer’s expertise at a lower financial investment -all while keeping the fun and competitiveness of a group dynamic. Small group training presents the opportunity for people to experience the benefits of the creativity and motivation of a trainer while lowering the financial entry point and/or spending more time with the trainer for the available funds.

BreAnne is a hybrid between personal trainer and group exercise instructor, which is to say, she is a group personal trainer. While a group exercise class looks much like a choreographed dance, a group personal training class looks like a group of people doing different exercises together at their own rate of speed, intensity, and ability.

As BreAnne still does some personal training- partner and group training now form a major part of her training schedule. She has been fully booked for the past few years -a waiting list quickly built up, and continued to grow. Existing clients asked if their friends, siblings or spouses could share their workout time, as BreAnne had no more hours to offer new private clients. She started partner workouts first, and this developed into small group personal training. The camaraderie increases compliance and makes it more fun in each session!
